Our Services

Postpartum Doula Care

We provide highly-skilled, experienced doulas to provide in-home support for mom, baby, and the entire family during the weeks and months following birth. Our service is customized to the individual needs of the family and includes:

Advocacy and Mentoring
A doula provides support for the well-being of both mom and baby. This can include nursing support, birth recovery care, infant care, and help with sibling adjustment. The doula is trained to recognize postpartum depression and can provide appropriate referrals for care. She is also a wonderful resource on the myriad of community resources that can help a new family. Ultimately, the doula is there to enable the family to be successful in all of their parenting choices.

New Baby Skills and Techniques
Even the most experienced mom can feel overwhelmed by her baby crying. Our doulas are well trained in the most effective and current baby soothing techniques and can help with effective newborn sleep strategies. Further, they can provide support with a range of infant care including feeding, bathing, and infant massage.

Quiet Time
Doulas can also help care for the newborn and older siblings, freeing the mother to heal, bathe, and process the life change a newborn brings. Doulas can help mothers make sense of feelings related to the birth experience and a new baby. Doulas create a calm atmosphere for the mother and family. This creates the emotional and physical space for the mother to breathe and for new parents to get to know their baby.

Household Help
Parents of a newborn are very focused on the new addition to the family. Our doulas help to facilitate that focus by taking over household chores such as cooking, laundry, and tidying up, so that the parents don't have to. The doula can also take the lead on the important job of keeping the family well nourished with fresh, healthy meals.

Family Transition
Doulas can facilitate each family's unique parenting style with the reassurance that non-judgmental support and an extra set of hands are available when needed. Through this support, the doula is able to help parents and older children integrate the baby into the family in a loving, gentle manner.

Night Nursing

Our highly experienced doulas can come to your home in the evening and provide infant care overnight while you the sleep you so desperately need. This invaluable service can work with both bottlefed and breastfed babies.

Meal Preparation

A new infant can make meal preparation a significant challenge. Unfortunately this is the time when the entire family is most in need of healthy, fresh, nutritious meals! We are happy to be able to provide your family with 3 delicious homemade dishes which are ready to eat or freeze. Each dish is large enough to feed a family of 4 for both lunch and dinner. We are happy to provide a selection of our "house specialities" or to prepare your own family favorites. Meals are prepared fresh and then delivered directly to your door.

Let us come to your home, care for your little ones, and prepare a fresh meal while you put out the unexpected fire secure in the knowledge that your household is in good hands.
